German tuning company Manhart has launched the MH5 800 performance package for the BMW M5. It can also be ordered for the pre-facelift version of the Bavarian sedan, but also for the M5 CS version.
The BMW M5 is one of the most capable performance sedans on the market. From the factory, the Bavarian model (in the top version of the M5 CS) comes with 635 horsepower, enough to reach 100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds and a top speed of 305 km/h.
There are many tuning companies that can increase the power of the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, and Manhart is one of them. The Germans had the MH5 700 package on offer, but now they have launched an even more powerful version of it: the MH5 800.
The performance package can be installed on both the M5 facelift and the pre-facelift version. BMW M5 CS owners can also opt for it.
Regardless of the version of the performance sedan, the engine power increases to 815hp and 1,050 Nm. The V8 unit received, among other things, new turbines, a larger intercooler, carbon intake and a new exhaust system with four terminations. Even the automatic transmission has been improved to cope.
The new H&R adjustable suspension, which lowers the ground clearance by 30 millimeters, must also be changed to technical modifications.
On the aesthetic side, Manhart proposes 21-inch diameter wheels, carbon fiber aerodynamic elements, interior ornaments of the same material and a “starry” ceiling after the Rolls-Royce model.
The MH5 800 package from Manhart costs 46,045 euros in Germany, excluding taxes.
